About Us

What We Do

The primary responsibility of a title company is to make certain that property is legally conveyed by sellers to buyers and that any sales or mortgage funds are documented and disbursed in accordance with federal and state regulations.

Pelican Title will gather all information pertinent to a transaction, contact parties, examine public records, prepare legal documents, and notarize paperwork at a “closing” where the sales and loan terms are explained.  Additionally, Pelican Title will record necessary paperwork with governmental agencies to insure the legality of property transfers and any mortgage loans.

Why Pelican Title?

Pelican Title strives to make the closing experience personal, to address questions, and to ensure that sellers, purchasers, lenders and realtors feel confident that their transactions are being handled professionally and soundly. Pelican Title offers experience, personal service, credibility, escrow diligence, and competitive value to customers.

Pelican Title equals experience!

Being in the title industry for over twenty years, our attorneys and staff have closing experience. Through their many years of practice, Pelican Title attorneys have gained a broad base of knowledge to expeditiously and efficiently resolve complex residential and commercial title issues.   Previous experience at managing large title companies has given our attorneys unique insight into the many aspects of the title process and the desire to make each closing experience efficient and easy.

While other title companies may hire notaries public to conduct closings, Pelican Title will have attorneys notarize closing documents. The attorney will be available to explain conveyance and mortgage documents and address legal questions, which notaries public are often not legally qualified to address.

Pelican equals credibility!

Property ownership can be an individual or corporation’s most significant investment. Pelican Title attorneys do not take unnecessary risks during title examinations. At Pelican title experience and knowledge of Louisiana law ensure that customers gain clear and merchantable title in property transactions.
